Voted Best Local Band in the Westender’s 2011 Best of the City issue

99.3 The Fox Seeds Winners, 2011

“Louder Than Love is one of the most-acclaimed bands on the local indie scene, drawing praise all around, even being declared the city’s best in a recent poll” –24 Hours Vancouver

Louder Than Love incorporates everything from hard rock riffs and acoustic folk arrangements, to pop vocal harmonies and dirty blues guitar solos. Since the release of their debut album Dark Days, a year-and-a-half ago, the Vancouver-based band has received rave reviews for the album and live show, airplay on commercial radio stations, (CBC, 106.9 The Wolf, 104.7 Power, 103.5 The Bridge, 99.3 The Fox), charted as high as #4 on the Canadian college !earshot radio reports, and completed two successful Western Canadian/U.S. mini-tours.

Last year, LTL was named one of the Top 20 bands in the prestigious 99.3 The Fox Seeds competition, played at the Vancouver Convention Centre as one of the winners of the Snow Show Fresh Trax competition, and signed an artist sponsorship deal with Graph Tech Guitar Labs (sponsors of Nickelback and Kenny Wayne Shepherd). This year, the band is one of three winners of the 2011 99.3 Fox Seeds competition and will open for State of Shock, as well as The Trews at The Commodore.

Ready to capitalize on their early success, Louder Than Love is wasting no time—they just released their follow-up EP “Coming Around”, recorded with famed producer Jeff Dawson (Art of Dying, State of Shock, Hey Ocean!, Nas) and Paul Forgues (NIN, AC/DC, Barenaked Ladies) and are embarking on a Canadian tour before finishing work on a third album to be released in the fall of 2011.
